ID, passport and visa

Before you travel, it is good that you find out the specific identification and entry requirements for your particular destination well in advance of departure. Different countries require different types of travel documents. It is important to keep in mind that your name matches the ID document and ticket.

At check-in at both domestic and international departures, you may be asked to show ID. You must also have a boarding pass to enter the security checkpoint.

Passport and Id

When you travel to countries that are part of the Schengen cooperation, there are normally no personal checks, but you must still be able to present a passport or national ID card. When traveling to countries that are not part of the Schengen cooperation, there are personal checks and you must always be able to present a passport.

Some countries require that the passport is valid for a certain period of time after entry, so check what applies to the specific country you are traveling to.

Visa

When traveling to certain countries, a visa is required. Contact your travel agent or the country's embassy for information on how to apply.
